God visits Man once again

In 1820 in the state of New York, a young man named Joseph Smith (14 years old) lived with his family. The area was in great excitement over religion and many of the churches in the area were very active in spreading the word. Many of the churches fought with each other about who was right and who was wrong. One day Joseph was reading in the Bible in the book of James chapter 1 verse 5 which reads "If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him". Joseph said that this scripture struck him and he felt that he needed to ask God which of all the churches were true. So on a spring morning in 1820, Joseph set off to pray. He went to a grove of trees near his home and began to pray, and one of the most amazing things happened in the history of mankind. God the Father and his Son Jesus Christ appeared to the young Joseph. They actually appeared to him in that grove. God the Father said to Joseph pointing to his Son. "This is my beloved Son, hear him." Joseph asked about the churches and Jesus Christ told him that at that time that none of the churches were true. He said that he would restore the church again to earth and that Joseph would help him. I know that God the Father and Jesus Chirst appeared to the boy Joseph and that through him over the years that followed they have restored the Church of Jesus Christ once again to the earth. Please ask God if this is true and he will tell you that it is, I know it is.

How can we find Truth?

Where is the truth? What of all the things of life are true? Why do so many people believe in so many different ways? There is only one that can help us find truth and that is God. Others have their own agendas whether good or bad. So what are we doing to find out if something is true? Are we waiting around hoping that something hits us? Or are we really trying to look for the truth? I know that the truth is out there and that God has a plan to help his children. For me it took some looking, and not only that but once I found good principles I needed to put them into effect and test them to see if they were good or bad. The best thing we can do in finding truth is to not so quickly discount something before we test it. Don't allow others to tell you something until you test it yourself. Are you going to put your own future in the hands of others or God? Please no matter what others say about something do not pass judgement until you find out for yourself.

I know that God lives.

I would like to start this blog by stating that there is a God. I know that he is really there and that he loves all of us. This life we now live in is a test to see what we will do away from Him. He wants to see if we will chose good or evil. If we lived with him would we do anything wrong? We probably would not. But if there were doubts about whether he really existed wouldn't people be who they really are? God is our Father, and we lived with him before we came to this earth. He is the Father of our Spirits, our Spirits are eternal and will live forever. He sent us to this earth to get a physical body and to forget living with him so that we could be tested. What are we doing with this time?
